Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is registration time. With that may come the concern about whether or not you can afford to send your children to St. Philip’s School. HOW CAN YOU AFFORD NOT TO? It’s an investment for the future.
That’s where St. Philip’s Tuition Support comes in. Through the foresight of individuals who came before us; the generosity of individual donors; and the resolve of parish leadership, there is, has been, and will continue to be Tuition Support for Parish families.
Tuition Support provides a tuition reduction to families’ intent on enrolling their children in St. Philip’s School. It is designed for families with limited financial resources. The funding for this program is made available through St. Philip’s Parish, the St. Philip’s School Endowment Fund, and various endowed scholarship funds created through the generosity of individuals, families and groups like the Spring Gala Committee. Although financial sacrifice is still required, Tuition Support may be available to lessen the burden.
To apply for Tuition Support, please complete the attached application. It is vitally important that you indicate the amount you are able to contribute toward tuition. Submit the application with the necessary documentation for verification to the school office by April 20, 2020. All required forms must be completed in their entirety and submitted by April 20, 2020, for Tuition Support consideration. Incomplete forms will not be considered.
Please remember that the Tuition Support program requires families to complete the remainder of their tuition obligation through an upfront total payment made before school begins or through monthly automatic withdrawals. This keeps us all fiscally responsible.
In May, the Tuition Support Committee will review the requests for Tuition Support and notify applicants of the allocations. We will do our best to work with all families.
It is a requirement that families who receive Tuition Support do all they can to support St. Philip’s School, specifically through the fulfillment of required Service Hours, participation in fund raising events, and the sharing of positive communication. In the years to come, we hope families who are now receiving Tuition Support may have the good fortune to be able to give back to the program, assuring its continuance for future families.
If registration is dependent on affordability, I encourage you to apply for Tuition Support. It is a program designed for you. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Very truly,
Jana Norgaard, Principal
