School Events

The St. Philip's School Council is the advisory panel to the Pastor on matters regarding the school. The council consists six elected members, the superintendent, the principal, a Parish Council liaison and two staff personnel. The elected terms are three years each The meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month, August through June, at 6:30 p.m. A member of the School Council also represents the school at School Board meetings of the Diocese of Crookston.

The St. Philip's Parent Association is a volunteer group of parents dedicated to serving St. Philip's School and is a standing sub-committee of the School Council. The purpose of the Parent Association is to provide support to the School Council by engaging parental involvement in the school through school activities and fundraising. The Parent Association serves as an advisory committee to the principal. Membership is open to all interested parents and guardians of St. Philip's School. The meetings are held the third Thursday of each month school is in session at 3:30 PM.

Each year Parent Association is involved in raising $25,000 that directly supports St. Philip's school through coordinating the following fundraising events:

St. Philip's Marathon for Non-Public Education
Pre-Holiday Pie Sale
Go-Green ing Fundraiser

Parent Association coordinates and financially supports:
Harvest Happening Family Night at BSU
Catholic School Week Activities
Spring Tailgate Party
Teacher Appreciation Event

Parent Association financially assists with:
Math Counts
Geography Bee
Spelling Bee
DARE Program
Various Physical Education Activities
8th Grade Graduation
