What is at the heart of life as a Catholic? To follow Jesus. Like the first disciples, we may struggle as we start to try to follow Jesus. Where can we find the courage, the love, the wisdom, the power to follow Jesus as a disciple? From exactly the same source as the first Christians—from the Holy Spirit. All of us have special gifts, or charisms, given to us by the Holy Spirit… it may be the gift of Music, Wisdom, Mercy, Faith, Healing, Writing, Administration, or Evangelism to name a few. Once we are able to recognize the gifts that have been given from God, our eyes are opened to the good works that can come of them. Plan on attending this Spiritual Gifts Seminar to determine what your special gifts are. You will be glad you did! It will take place in the St. Philip's Social Hall at 1PM. There is a $10 fee to cover the cost of materials. Question? Call the Parish Office at 444-4262.
